Join The Hillsborough County Co-Op

The Hillsborough 2023 Solar Co-op has selected Region Solar to install solar panels for the group. Co-op members selected Region Solar through a competitive bidding process over nine other firms for their equipment offerings, price, warranty, and experience.

Membership Is Open Until August 4th, 2023

Hillsborough County and Tampa residents, small businesses, and non-profit organizations interested in joining the solar co-op can sign up at the co-op web page solarunitedneighbors.org/Hillsborough.

The solar co-op is free to join and joining the co-op is not a commitment to purchase panels. Region Solar will provide each co-op member with an individualized proposal based on the group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, members can save time and money going solar and have the support of fellow group members and the solar experts at Solar United Neighbors.

Imagine walking into a solar company’s office with 50 or 100 of your neighbors and saying, “We all want to get solar. What kind of deal can you give us?”

How Does A Solar Co-Op Work?

Solar United co-ops organize 50 to 100 neighbors in a group to go solar together. People love the community approach. Their experts support you through each stage of the solar process.

Co-op members leverage bulk-purchasing power to get discounted pricing and a quality installation, while still signing individual contracts that ensure the right system for their home.

First, Solar United Neighbors requests bids on your behalf. Then, a committee of your fellow co-op members meet to assess the pros and cons and select the best installer for the group.
